About

Meet Kris – Owner & Certified Leadership Coach

I’m Kris, a pastor turned leadership and organizational coach. For over a decade, I’ve helped leaders and teams cultivate clarity, courage, and spiritual depth in their work. I work with pastors, executives, and faith-based organizations who want to move beyond busyness and burnout toward clarity, alignment, and authentic growth.

I founded Tamped Coaching out of a belief that growth doesn’t come from avoiding pressure – it comes from learning how to work with it intentionally.

I work with leaders and teams through coaching, speaking, and facilitation to help them grow with greater depth and clarity.

My work is shaped by years of leadership experience, thoughtful reflection, and a deep belief that meaningful growth happens when people are given the right space, support, and challenge.

Whether I’m coaching an individual leader, speaking to a room, or facilitating a team conversation, my aim is the same: to help people lead with greater wisdom, presence, and purpose.

My background spans pastoral leadership, leadership development, and organizational development. I’ve served as:

  • Managing Director of a summer camp for kids
  • Senior Pastor
  • Board Member and Facilitator within a variety of church and denominational contexts
  • Certified Leadership Coach
  • Birkman Certified Professional

Today, I bring those experiences together to help individuals and organizations flourish – through one-on-one coaching, team development, and assessment-based insight.

When I’m not coaching, you can often find me enjoying a cup of coffee, roasting my own coffee beans, reading, and spending time with my family.

My Philosophy:

Leadership growth is more than goal achievement – it’s about alignment. Alignment between calling and capacity. Between values and actions. Between pressure and peace.

Through a presence-centered, non-judgmental coaching approach, I help clients rediscover clarity, courage, and conviction.

Why Tamped?

The name Tamped comes from the image of espresso preparation: pressure applied with care in order to bring out depth, richness, and clarity.

Leadership works much the same way. Pressure is unavoidable, but when it is met with intention, reflection, and the right kind of support, it can become a place of growth where something rich and balanced can emerge.
